Tragic Incident: Couple Involved in Accident Resulting in Fatality and Injury

The investigation department of the Lori regional investigative body of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under the second part of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code based on a decision by the deputy head of the investigative department, Kyerobyans.

According to shamshyan.com, the criminal case was initiated following a call received on February 7 from the Vanadzor Medical Center, which informed the Stepanavan police department about the death of 32-year-old Norik M. who was transported there after a major car accident that occurred on February 5 on the Stepanavan-Tashir highway.

Reports indicate that Norik M. was in a vehicle with 19-year-old Hegine M., who remains in critical condition. They were engaged to be married.

Earlier, it was reported that a serious car accident took place in the Lori province on February 5. Around 23:30, 32-year-old Norik M. lost control of his Mercedes vehicle on the 5th km of the Tashir-Stepanavan highway, veered off the road, collided with rocks, and overturned, ending up in a field. As a result of the accident, both Norik M. and his passenger, 19-year-old Hegine M., were transferred to the Stepanavan Medical Center with bodily injuries.
