Tragic Car Accident in Gegharkunik: Rescuers Extract Deceased from Vehicle

Today, February 11, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik province. Around 1:30 PM, in the 8th km section of the Martuni-Vardenis highway, within the administrative territory of Zolakar village, a collision took place between a Mercedes and a Volkswagen Vento.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, one person died on the spot, and two others were taken to the Martuni Medical Center with bodily injuries.

The first responders were citizens and firefighters from the Martuni Fire-Rescue Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who arrived promptly. The deceased was extracted from the vehicle by the rescuers.

Medical professionals at Martuni Hospital provided first aid to the injured before their transport to the hospital.
