Ukraine Prepares for War in Donbass, Says Director of Russian Foreign Intelligence

The authorities in Kyiv are preparing for war in Donbass, concentrating all capable units of the armed forces along the contact line. This was announced by Sergey Naryshkin, the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, in an interview with "MK".

According to him, the preparations are in full swing and will not be hidden. "All at least somewhat capable parts of the armed forces are concentrated along the border with Donbass. There are massive transports of hundreds of tons of military equipment and ammunition from U.S. bases in Europe, Great Britain, and Canada. The contingent of NATO special forces advisors and instructors is also being expanded. There is even information about the emergence of multinational jihadist battalions. The Security Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces are preparing provocations along the demarcation line in Donbass, as well as their 'documentation' in the style of the 'White Helmets' in Syria.

The contingent of 'rapid deployment propaganda forces' from Western media has also significantly increased there. Only under the condition of holding a meeting of advisors from the 'Normandy Four' in Paris did the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers decide to temporarily retract the bill on the 'Fundamentals of State Policy during the Transition Period' from the Rada. This document has been dubbed a legal 'fig leaf' by experts, covering the occupation of the territories of the people's republics and the 'cleansing' of them in a Croatian manner. This bill draws a complete line under the Minsk agreements.

The Ukrainian authorities, which actively encourage military adventurism, fully understand their fate after instigating the conflict. The outbreak of war does not serve the interests of the peoples of Ukraine and Russia. The consequences will be severe for everyone in any case," he noted.
