Parliamentary Investigative Commission Established to Examine Circumstances of 44-Day War
At the initiative of the parliamentary faction of the 'Civil Contract' party, the National Assembly of Armenia has established an investigative commission to study the circumstances surrounding the military actions that began on September 27, 2020. This information was announced by the National Assembly.
According to a statement signed by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hakob Arshakyan, under paragraph 2 of Article 20 of the constitutional law 'Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly', an investigative commission has been created by law at the request of at least one third of the total number of deputies to examine the circumstances of the military actions initiated on September 27, 2020. The Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues will carry out the powers of this commission.
