Extraordinary Incident at the Airport: Citizen Demands Ticket for International Flight with Knife Threat

On February 9, around 17:00, officers from the police department at "Zvartnots" airport noticed problems at one of the cash registers servicing airlines on the fourth floor of the airport's departure hall.

Approaching the situation, they saw a citizen threatening an employee of a ticket sales company with a knife, demanding that a flight be arranged for him and a ticket for international travel be provided.

The 28-year-old man was detained by the police department at "Zvartnots" airport. The victim filed a report, and a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The man has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
