100-150 Armenian Vehicles Accumulated at the Upper Lars Checkpoint

Approximately 100-150 Armenian vehicles have accumulated at the Upper Lars checkpoint. This was stated by Aram Tananian, a customs officer at the Upper Lars checkpoint, during a conversation with a NEWS.am reporter on February 10.

He clarified that more than 1000 vehicles have accumulated from the North Ossetia side, of which 10-15 percent are Armenian vehicles. According to him, the road is periodically opened and closed due to snow and strong winds. “The Khyachi pass has been closed since last night,” noted the customs officer.
