Zakharchik Discusses the Differences Between NATO and CSTO
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, gave an interview to RT, during which she addressed the differences between NATO and the CSTO.
Zakharova specifically noted that NATO is a military organization based on a "military strategy." "The Collective Security Treaty implies collective defense. NATO has no borders; they have not delineated their area of influence exclusively within their own borders," said Zakharova.
According to her, no one in the CSTO has thought of taking any action outside the member countries, while in NATO, she claims, there are no collective ideas, only the supremacy of one state.
