We Did Not Send an Invitation to Pashinyan for the Antalya Forum, Says Cavusoglu

We did not send an invitation to Pashinyan for the Antalya Forum, said Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, responding to journalists' questions about Armenia's potential participation in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum and the upcoming meeting of special representatives in Vienna.

According to Ermenihaber.am, Cavusoglu stated regarding the possible participation of Armenia in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum: “In addition to scientists and other guests, we have sent invitations to Special Representative Rubinyan and the Foreign Minister. We did not send an invitation to Pashinyan. The president sends invitations to the leaders of countries. The number of countries that have confirmed their participation at the ministerial level has reached 60. No confirmation has yet come from Armenia. We have also invited the Foreign Minister of Israel and several scientists, but there is still no confirmation.”

Regarding the upcoming meeting of special representatives in Vienna, Cavusoglu mentioned: “Armenia has wanted it this way. During a phone conversation, they proposed that the second meeting be held either in Vienna or Geneva. We spoke and consulted with Mr. Serdar, and you know that there has been a failure in Geneva in the past, so to avoid a similar outcome, we decided that it should be held in Vienna.”
