271,000 People Displaced Due to Severe Drought in Somalia
The intensifying drought has forced 271,000 people to leave their homes in search of water, food, and suitable grazing grounds for livestock, according to the United Nations, as reported by Echo of Moscow.
The organization has raised $25 million to combat the disaster, while the country itself is allocating an additional $6 million for this purpose, but these funds are deemed insufficient.
