Armed Robberies Reported at Businesses in Gyumri Since Yesterday: Contradicting Police Data
“The future has arrived. Since yesterday, armed robberies have been occurring at businesses in Gyumri, where two individuals armed with automatic weapons, wearing masks, and exhibiting brazen behavior are robbing pharmacies and other establishments even in broad daylight... P.S. Remember the cases involving E-class Mercedes spare parts? About 200 incidents found nothing because their job is to suppress the opposition,” wrote lawyer and leader of the ‘Tasibov’ alliance, Karapet Poghosyan.
Auroranews contacted Zarzand Gabrielyan, head of the Media Relations Department of the RA Police, to clarify whether such a situation exists in Gyumri, what reports the police have received, and if the number of crimes has truly increased so significantly.
Gabrielyan reported that only one report of robbery was received on the night of February 5: “Around 3:35 AM, a report was received at the Kumayri division. A robbery occurred at one of the gas stations, and this is the first incident of the year in the entire Shirak region.”
