53-Year-Old Man Stabs Store Clerk in Head and Face: Details

The investigation into the armed robbery of an employee at a specialized feed store has been completed by the Vagharshapat Investigation Division of the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. This was reported by the RA Investigative Committee.

As a result of investigative measures and other necessary actions taken during the pre-trial proceedings, as well as activities carried out jointly with the staff of the RA Police, all circumstances of the incident have been clarified.

The investigation found and substantiated evidence that on July 27, 2021, around 19:30, a 53-year-old man used a knife to carry out a robbery with the intent to steal someone else's property. He inflicted blows with a knife and his hands to various parts of the head and face of the store clerk at the specialized feed store located on Baghramyan Street in Echmiadzin, causing multiple bodily injuries. Afterward, he stole 880,000 AMD from the store's cash register and the employee's mobile phone, escaping from the scene.

Based on sufficient evidence obtained, the 53-year-old man has been charged under parts 2, 2, and 4 of Article 175 of the RA Criminal Code. He has been detained as a measure of restraint.

The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case, with an indictment, has been sent to court.
