Weightlifting: Arsen Martirosyan and David Hovhannisyan Become Armenian Champions

The Armenian Weightlifting Championship is nearing its conclusion, with today marking the final competition day. Yesterday, champions were determined in the weight categories of up to 96 kg and up to 102 kg.

In the up to 96 kg weight category, David Hovhannisyan secured the championship title with a total lift of 254 kg. Meanwhile, Arsen Martirosyan claimed the gold medal in the up to 102 kg category with an impressive total of 350 kg.

Notably, Martirosyan received his award from his brother, Simon Martirosyan, who is a world and European champion and a two-time Olympic silver medalist.

Today marks the final competitive day of the Armenian Weightlifting Championship, featuring athletes in the up to 109 kg and super heavyweight categories. The championship is being held at the State Sports College of Olympic Reserve in Yerevan.
