Armenia Weightlifting Championship Concludes: Who is the Heavyweight Champion?

The Armenia Weightlifting Championship has concluded. On the last day of competitions, Varazdat Lalayan emerged victorious in the heavyweight category, surpassing Olympic silver medalists Gor Minasian and Simon Martirosyan.

This year's championship was marked by significantly interesting competitions. Notably, we focus on weight categories where Armenian weightlifters are competitive in major international tournaments. Simultaneously, the progress of young athletes in other weight categories was also in the spotlight.

As the winners in men’s and women’s competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be determined in five weight categories, our national teams are currently concentrating their efforts on these specific categories.
