12-Year-Old Boy Who Died on Tsaghkadzor Ski Lift Was a Citizen of Germany

The Investigation Committee of Armenia’s Kotayk Province is preparing materials regarding the tragic incident that occurred on February 5. According to SHAMSHYAN.com, at approximately 15:40, a call was received by the police department in Hrazdan from the Hrazdan Medical Center reporting that a medical team had been dispatched to the ski lift in Tsaghkadzor, where a minor had fallen while skiing and was unresponsive.

Police and investigators established that on the same day, around 15:30, 12-year-old Smbat F., a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany who was vacationing at the “Ararat” hotel complex in Tsaghkadzor, lost control while skiing down the first station of the Tsaghkadzor ski lift, veered off the slope, and collided with a fence post.
