What Abrahamyan Says About Meeting Officers in Prison
The member of the "Honorable" faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, has made a post on his Facebook page regarding his visit to the Nubarashen penitentiary.
"I went to the 'Nubarashen' penitentiary to meet with the officers who are in custody. Over different phases, on different days, I have met with a large number of military personnel involved in the 44-day war, the incidents in Khtsaberd and Hin Tagher villages, as well as the Azerbaijani aggression of November 16, 2021. Naturally, I cannot claim that the military personnel involved in various cases have not made any mistakes or omissions; however, each case requires an individual approach. But there is a big BUT: the complexities created by the authorities, the inaction, the backstage arrangements, and the crisis incited in the army, along with the targeting of military personnel, have a tremendous impact both on the 44-day war and on the events in Hin Tagher and Khtsaberd villages, as well as on the Azerbaijani aggression of November 16.
I am always accustomed to meeting officers, and military personnel in general, in military units or combat posts, and I find it very hard to accept that these meetings take place in penitentiary facilities, in prison cells. Another important aspect that I pay a lot of attention to is that many of the military personnel who are involved in the criminal cases I mentioned have served in the armed forces for decades, have served for many years in frontier units, participated in various operations, in the April 2016 and 2020 44-day wars, received awards, etc. The political approach of the authorities to inflict institutional blows on the military and the armed forces is exactly what should have created such a situation, and the serious consequences of this will manifest in other ways in the near future."
