2 Billion Euros to Azerbaijan

The European Union is allocating 2 billion euros to Azerbaijan as part of an economic investment program. This was announced by EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi during a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, according to a report by TASS citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

"The EU commissioner noted that a financial package of 2 billion euros has been allocated to Azerbaijan within the framework of the economic investment program, and specific project implementations are currently being discussed," the statement said.

Varhelyi also announced that the EU is ready to participate in the restoration work carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"The parties exchanged views on issues of regional security, energy partnership, economic ties, transportation, and communication cooperation," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated.
