What Condition Did Vlen Go Home In? Details on the Scandalous Incident

As reported yesterday, Vlen Feroyan, a Yazidi soldier who fled from a military unit in Kapan, contacted his family yesterday and is now home.

To gather more details about the incident, LURER.com spoke with the soldier's grandmother, Roza Feroyan, who stated that the boy is in a very poor psychological state.

"My grandson returned home yesterday, he came by taxi, and I welcomed him. He was in a very bad mental state, his clothes were old and torn. I don't understand where all the money goes that is provided for new recruits, to give them old and torn military uniforms," Roza Feroyan expressed angrily.

The media inquired whether there were any signs of violence on Vlen's body, to which she replied, "There are no bruises, I can't say that, but his chest, hands, and legs are extremely painful."

She noted that Vlen is still at home and no one has come after him. "Today, I will definitely take my grandson to the military police, but on the condition that he will not serve in that military unit again. It is better for him to be tried than to return to that military unit," she stated.

According to Roza Feroyan, the entire Yazidi community and lawyers are mobilizing to transfer Vlen to another military unit.

Recall that Aurora News had earlier reported significant details regarding Vlen Feroyan's service after he went missing from the Kapan military unit. Soldiers from the unit relayed to us that the rumors of Vlen being beaten, spread by his relatives, have nothing to do with reality.

"First of all, let us point out that Vlen's brother also serves in a military unit located not far from here, and he has the same situation—he frequently creates problems and does not want to participate in any matters related to the reorganizations. But how is it that all the soldiers in the unit are involved in the same issue? No one has beaten him; his relatives spread these rumors to justify him, but that is not how it happens. Well, let's all just do nothing, call our relatives to complain, and flee from the unit," said our interlocutors, requesting that their identities remain confidential.

One of them also mentioned that this issue has reached the unit commander, who tried to intervene: "We know that the commander called him to his office, during which the commander started to clean his office, saying that he does it too and that there is nothing wrong with that—especially since none of the servicemen avoid maintaining order and cleanliness in the unit."

Earlier, it was reported that on January 31, the relatives of Yazidi recruit Vlen Feroyan raised alarms that their relative was brutally beaten and forced to clean the latrines. They claimed that the commanding staff of the Kapan military unit had humiliated and beaten Vlen, after which the soldier fled, and until now there has been no news about him.
