Remote Meeting Held Between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev
On February 4, with the mediation and participation of French President Emmanuel Macron and Charles Michel, President of the European Council, a remote meeting took place between Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The sides exchanged views on addressing existing humanitarian issues, unblocking regional infrastructure under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of both countries, reducing tensions along the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, demarcation efforts, the access of international organizations to Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as a wide range of other issues.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the need for a long-term resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the signing of a peace agreement under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.
