Photos Released: How American Soldiers Are Heading to Europe

Against the backdrop of Russia's threat of invasion into Ukraine, the U.S. has moved nearly 3,000 troops to the European continent. Military journalist Haley Britzky shared photos on Twitter.

Approximately 1,700 soldiers are part of the 82nd Airborne Division’s infantry brigade, which has headed to Poland. An additional 300 personnel are joining the 18th Airborne Corps and have been dispatched to Germany. A thousand American servicemen from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment have been sent to Romania.

The soldiers awaited their flights at Fort Bragg base in North Carolina.
