Give the about 160 carpets saved from Shushi to the Azerbaijanis so that we can start to love them

Approximately 160 carpets saved from Shushi have been in the Tamanyan Museum for over a year, and it is now unclear where they will be stored or what will be done with them. This was reported by Facebook user Nikolay Torosyan.

“I think it would be appropriate to use a few of them in the cargo compartments of service vehicles, and 1-2 can be cut up and laid on the front seats to prevent wear. The rest should be returned to the Azerbaijanis. Only then will we love those carpets that we are currently ignoring. And if they are also cut up, we will love them even more. Just like we love the graveyards of Jugha today, but we destroy the medieval khachkar cemetery in Arinj. We cherish Van but pollute Lake Sevan, we adore Sasun but ruin Tavush, we weep for the state of Ghazanchetsots but casually walk past Aram's house,” the user stated.

Auroranews inquired with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESCS) about the issue of storing and displaying the carpets saved from Shushi. Gegham Melikbekyan, press secretary of the Minister of MoESCS, indicated that there is indeed a problem at this time, and it is of concern to the ministry. He added that the Deputy Minister of MoESCS had recently met with Vardan Astsatryan, the director of the Shushi Carpet Museum, in an effort to find solutions.
