Atom Janjughazyan's Candidacy Provoked by Hayk Sargsyan's Father: 'Hraparak'

According to the newspaper 'Hraparak', it was recently announced that the ruling party's candidate for the head of the Audit Chamber is former Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan. It is worth noting that he had been unemployed since leaving his ministerial position in April of last year.

The outgoing president of the Chamber, Levon Yolyan, had stated in an interview prior to January 20, following the submission of his resignation, that he was making way for fresh, young forces. He even suggested that former MP and Chamber member Eghishe Soghomonyan could be appointed. However, it turned out that the candidate chosen by Nikol Pashinyan is Atom Janjughazyan, who has inherited this opportunity from his predecessors.

We tried to hear from Janjughazyan himself regarding the reasoning behind appointing the Chief Accountant of the Republican Party as the head of the Audit Chamber. He stated that he would answer the questions when the time is ripe and prefers to remain silent for now.

We attempted to confirm reports suggesting that his candidacy is being promoted by MP Hayk Sargsyan's father, Zareh Sargsyan, who has been seen with him at various cafes. Janjughazyan lost his composure, saying, 'Excuse me, on what basis did you call my personal phone? Do you have the right to call me on my personal number and now you're doing I don't even know what?' I clarified that I was merely asking a question. He retorted, 'Do not use this phone number from now on.'
