Lockdowns are Harmful and Ineffective, American Scientists

American scientists consider lockdowns to be harmful and ineffective. This is reported by RTVI, referencing a study conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins University.

According to the findings, the implementation of lockdowns in spring 2020 resulted in significantly more negative consequences than positive ones. Moreover, this measure had little impact on mortality rates from COVID-19. The study revealed that overall, during quarantine periods, this mortality rate decreased by only 0.2%.

“According to the results of the meta-analysis, lockdowns had minimal, nearly zero impact on the health status of the population and led to enormous economic and social costs,” the scientists state. This specifically pertains to the rise in unemployment in the U.S., an increase in reports of domestic violence, as well as a surge in cases of drug overdoses.
