Court Partially Accepts Complaint of Vardenis Council Members from the Civil Contract Party

The Administrative Court, presided by Judge Meri Hambardzumyan, has partially accepted the complaint of council members from the "Civil Contract" party and declared invalid the decision that stated that Aharon Khachatryan was elected as the head of the enlarged Vardenis community. This was reported by lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan, who represents the interests of the "Aharon Khachatryan" alliance in a conversation with NEWS.am.

“The court's decision was unfounded and illegal. The court did not address our arguments; we have proven that the members of the Civil Contract party were aware of the meeting, saw it, but did not participate, and the court ignored our evidence. We will most likely appeal this decision to the Court of Appeal; we have one month to do so. The Civil Contract party also demanded that the election of the community head be declared invalid, but the court did not grant that part. The court made an incomplete and unclear decision, presumably with the intention that an appeal would be filed, in a crude sense, it has tossed this case aside,” stated lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan.

It is worth noting that Varazdat Harutyunyan had submitted a request for the judge to recuse herself, which the court, however, rejected.
