Biden Officially Confirms Deployment of Additional U.S. Troops in Europe

U.S. President Joe Biden has officially confirmed the deployment of additional American troops in Eastern Europe, with the Pentagon set to announce details soon.

According to CNN, citing U.S. officials, the troops are expected to be sent to Eastern Europe “in the coming days.” The troop deployment is a demonstration of NATO's support for its allied countries that feel threatened by Russia's military actions toward Ukraine.

It is anticipated that 2,000 American soldiers will be dispatched to Poland, with several thousand more to be stationed in southeastern NATO countries, including Romania.
