Washington Orders American Officials' Families to Leave Belarus
The U.S. State Department has advised the family members of government personnel to leave Belarus due to potential escalation of tensions surrounding Ukraine. This announcement was published on the State Department's website.
The U.S. has also urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to Belarus, citing concerns over arbitrary enforcement of laws, threats of detention, and unsettling military buildup along the Belarusian-Ukrainian border by Russia.
It is noted that U.S. citizens currently in Belarus or planning to travel there should be aware that the situation in the region is unpredictable.
