Turkish Officers Train Newly Formed Azerbaijani Army 'Komando' Units
Turkish army officers are training the newly formed 'Komando' units in the Azerbaijani army, according to Ermenihaber.
It is reported that during the military exercises conducted under the coordination of Turkish specialists, the 'Komando' units are developing capabilities to overcome obstacles, conduct combat operations in mountainous conditions, penetrate defensive depths, and encircle and eliminate sabotage groups found in residential areas by simulating combat scenarios.
It is noteworthy that the 'Komando' formations were established based on certain mechanized infantry units of the Azerbaijani armed forces after the 44-day war. These units are specialized mobile groups of ground forces that have long been widespread in the Turkish army as well.
