The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, has contracted the coronavirus variant "Omicron." According to the country's government press service, Gharibashvili has tested positive for the virus.

It is noted that the official will continue to work remotely. The government’s message states, "The head of the government feels well."

It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister of Georgia first contracted the coronavirus in April 2021, and in September, Gharibashvili was vaccinated against the virus.
