Tigran Abrahamyan on Border Defense
Member of the National Assembly’s ‘Honorary’ faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, commented on border protection.
“To ensure border security and implement effective service, we must seek radical solutions. The models of border protection that existed before the 44-day war will either not work under these conditions or will operate very ineffectively. The priority issue in ensuring border security is not the discourse around tents or stone shelters, but rather what foundational capabilities you have when carrying out combat duty, transitioning to defense, or conducting offensive or counter-offensive operations. How do you ensure the course of battle at a combat outpost—from reconnaissance, infrastructure to rear support, safe movements, and so on? Ideologically, the chosen path today is incorrect, and the changes are inertial.”
