Spain's Sending of Ships to the Black Sea is 'Excessively Dramatized' - Spain's Defense Ministry
Spain's sending of ships to the Black Sea is 'excessively dramatized'; this is a normal NATO operation. This was stated by the country's Defense Minister Margarita Robles, as reported by RT.
“NATO's charter has Article 5. When an attack occurs against a member country, the others must respond. However, in this case, Ukraine is not a member of NATO. And this scenario, where Spanish troops may be in Ukraine, has never been put forward,” she said.
Earlier, Member of the European Parliament Manuel Pineda stated in an interview with RT that nine Spanish parties have signed a manifesto opposing the deployment of their ships to the Black Sea, and fighter jets to Bulgaria.
