Houthi Forces Plan New Military Operation Against UAE; Announcement Expected

The United Arab Emirates has announced the interception of a ballistic missile. According to Bloomberg, this missile was launched by Houthi rebels from Yemen. The ballistic missile was fired during the first visit of the President of Israel to the UAE following normalization of relations.

In a statement, the UAE's Ministry of Defense noted that the missile was successfully destroyed, with no casualties reported, and debris fell outside of populated areas. The statement, released on Monday morning, also mentioned that the military will undertake all necessary measures to protect the UAE from any attacks.

Reportedly, Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Houthi movement 'Ansar Allah,' confirmed the missile launch, marking the third such event in a month as tensions in the region escalate. Saree announced on his Twitter page that the movement will soon declare the start of a new military operation in the UAE.

"In the coming hours, the Yemeni armed forces (Houthis) will make an important announcement regarding a large-scale military operation taking place deep within UAE territory," stated the spokesman for 'Ansar Allah.'
