85-Year-Old Man in India Claims to Have Received 11 COVID-19 Vaccinations

An 85-year-old man from Bihar, India, named Brahmdeo Mandal, claims that he has received 11 COVID-19 vaccinations in less than a year. According to Oddity Central, it is believed that he boasted about his vaccination marathon to someone who subsequently reported him to the police.

Mandal stated that the vaccinations have positively impacted his health. He detailed that many age-related health issues have disappeared or diminished after receiving the shots. “After getting vaccinated, my body aches and illnesses have vanished. I used to have knee pain and walked with a cane. Now, I feel well,” Mandal told the BBC.

After receiving his first vaccination in February 2021, Brahmdeo Mandal felt so good that he continued to get regular new shots. By September of the previous year, he had already received nine injections, and he managed to get two more by the end of the year using different ID cards.

How did Mandal deceive the authorities? It seems no one clearly knows what happened, but an ongoing investigation has revealed that he actually received at least eight doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, two of which were apparently administered just 30 minutes apart. To ensure that no one recognized him, he visited different vaccination centers.

“I felt that it was helping my overall health; the pain in my back has reduced, my general weakness has decreased, and my appetite has improved,” said the 85-year-old man.

Reports indicate that Mandal may face arrest after a complaint was filed against him with the health department. The Times of India reports that the 85-year-old man has threatened to commit suicide if pursued by authorities.
