Police Response to Reports of Fight Involving Samvel Babayan's Son

The Police of the Republic of Artsakh has issued a clarification regarding reports of a fight involving the son of Samvel Babayan.

“In recent days, information has been circulating on social media regarding alleged violence inflicted by Samvel Babayan's son and his associates on Artsakh resident Arthur Osipian. It has been reported that a conflict occurred between S. Babayan's son and well-known activist in Artsakh, Arthur Osipian, which then escalated into a physical altercation. Law enforcement authorities have yet to take serious measures, awaiting a final decision from the President of Artsakh,” the statement reads.

The Artsakh police informed that on January 23 at 18:55, a call was received from a citizen reporting that a quarrel had occurred on Teryan Street in Stepanakert. The police immediately registered the information in the log of criminal incidents and accidents, then conducted checks as prescribed. As a result, police officers met with both parties, clarified details, and suggested filing a report on the incident, to which both parties categorically refused, denying the information about the altercation.
