Details on the Accident on the Yerevan-Sevan Highway
On January 28, at 11:22 AM, the Kotayk regional crisis management center received a report that an accident had occurred on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, where a vehicle had overturned and there were trapped citizens. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A fire and rescue unit from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that at the 49th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a 'Mitsubishi Pajero' vehicle (driver V. T., born 1980) had veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The rescuers deactivated the vehicle, closed the gas cylinder valve, and removed the driver’s body along with three injured individuals (S. N., born 1982; A. T., born 1980; and K. A., born 1961), and brought them to the ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at Hrazdan Medical Center; subsequently, A. T. and K. A. were transferred to Erebuni Medical Center. Doctors assessed the health condition of the injured A. T. and K. A. as moderate, while S. N.'s condition was considered serious.
