Anahit Avanesyan Delivers Encouraging News

During a government meeting, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan addressed the current situation related to the coronavirus, stating, “In Armenia, as well as in the region and globally, there is an increase in cases of the Omicron variant. Yesterday, we recorded 2,556 new cases and unfortunately, 2 fatalities.”

She added that vaccination efforts have successfully met their objectives: “Only 5-6% require hospitalization, which is positive news. Vaccinated individuals mostly experience the disease without symptoms or with mild symptoms.”
