Strategic Highway Under Construction in Artsakh
A new highway spanning approximately 50 kilometers is being reconstructed and renovated in Artsakh. This information was shared by the Armenia Fund, which noted that alongside housing construction, water supply, and infrastructure restoration projects in Artsakh, work is also underway to reconstruct and renovate roads.
"A strategically important highway connecting Martakert–Jankatagh–Stepanakert is being built. Additionally, the roads connecting the communities of Nerqin Horatagh, Verin Horatagh, Kojoghot, Astghashen-Patara, and the communities of Kaghartzin-Paravatum in the Martuni region to the highway are being renovated," the statement read.
According to security and economic priorities, the construction of these roads connecting settlements to the highways will guide the people of Artsakh towards new opportunities. It should be noted that during a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the government yesterday, the President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, announced that the most crucial issue—the electricity problem—has been successfully resolved in the post-war period. Harutyunyan pointed out that ambitious projects have begun, including the construction of the Badara-Stepankert pipeline, which will fully address not only the quality drinking water supply for Stepanakert but also for the newly built settlements, some of which are located in the surrounding areas of Stepanakert.
