David Tonoyan Will Remain In Custody

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Manvel Shahverdyan, announced a decision regarding the detention of former Armenian Minister of Defense David Tonoyan, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff Stepan Galstyan, businessman known as "Patron David" David Galstyan, former head of the Armenian Armed Forces' Aviation Avetik Muradyan, and head of the Aviation Armament Artyom Hambaryan.

It is noteworthy that the defenders had requested the release of David Tonoyan under personal guarantee. Guarantees were provided by members of the "Civil Contract" faction Kristine Poghosyan, Vilen Gabrielyan, and leader of the "Republic" party Aram Sargsyan. Tonoyan will continue to remain in custody.
