What is your homeland, Vago! Anna Grigoryan to Vagarshak Hakobyan
“You speak of the past, you speak from the trenches. Have you even gone to the front line? Did you really serve? You did not serve,” stated Anna Grigoryan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ parliamentary faction, addressing the MP from the ruling party, Vagarshak Hakobyan.
Grigoryan added, “It is inappropriate to constantly talk about mistakes made in the past at a time when we are facing the loss of Artsakh, when Syunik is in danger.” She concluded her statement with a quote from the poet Shiraz: “What is, my dear, our homeland… Now I have a question, excuse me for shortening your name for the rhyme: what is, Vago, your homeland?”
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan urged the members to address each other by their surnames.
