Alen Simonyan on Armen Sarkissian's Resignation

At the start of the National Assembly session, Alen Simonyan addressed the resignation of the President of Armenia. “According to part 2 of Article 147 of the constitutional law on the rules of procedure of the National Assembly, if the relevant official withdraws their resignation in writing within one week after the announcement of the resignation, the President of the National Assembly will issue a statement regarding this. If the resignation is not withdrawn, a record of the termination of their powers is prepared, which is signed and published by the President of the National Assembly. From the moment of the publication of the record, the resignation is considered accepted,” stated the Speaker of the National Assembly.
