UK Identifies Individual Moscow Wants to Install in Ukraine

The United Kingdom, based on its intelligence data, has accused Moscow of attempting to bring pro-Russian politicians to power in Ukraine. The British Foreign Office has named former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Murayev as the Kremlin's candidate for the position of Ukraine's leader, according to the Daily Mail.

In a statement, UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said that "the information released today sheds light on the extent of Russia's actions aimed at destabilizing Ukraine and provides insight into the thinking of the Kremlin."

As reported by TASS, the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the British Foreign Office's statement about allegedly planned programs in Moscow regarding Ukraine, called on their British counterparts to cease provocations. "The disinformation disseminated by the British Foreign Ministry is further evidence that NATO countries, led by the Anglo-Saxons, are exacerbating tensions around Ukraine. We urge the British Foreign Ministry to stop its provocative actions, cease spreading nonsense, and focus on studying the history of the Tatar-Mongol yoke," the Russian Foreign Ministry said to TASS.
