Armen Sarkissian Decides to Resign

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has announced his decision to resign from his position, according to a statement from the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia.

The announcement states, “In the early 1990s, as a result of significant geopolitical changes, our people were given the greatest opportunity to create their independent state. Our mission was not to merely replace one flag with another, but to build a country that, centuries later, would again ensure the safety, progress, and prosperity of Armenians.”
