50 Vehicles Rescued from Snow Blockade: Ministry of Emergency Situations
On January 20-21, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 39 reports regarding vehicles blocked in various regions of the republic. This information was provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
Specifically, vehicles were reported in the cities of Gavar and Sevan in Gegharkunik Province, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, and Kajaran in Syunik Province, in the village of Tatev, in the city of Aparan and village of Hartavan in Aragatsotn Province, in the cities of Abovyan, Tsaghkadzor, and Charentsavan in Kotayk Province, in the villages of Arinj and Jrvezh, in the cities of Vayk and Yeghegnadzor in Vayots Dzor Province, and in the cities of Gyumri, Amasia, Ashotsk, and Akhuryan in Shirak Province, as well as on the highways Kuchak-Tsaghkashen, Getap-Martuhi, Yerevan-Meghri, Amasia-Tsoghakamarg, Aparan-Lusakgugh, and Aparan-Saralanj.
Rescue teams arriving at the scene have freed 50 vehicles from the blockade and provided assistance to 80 citizens.
