Property of Manvel Grigoryan Seized

The court has placed a lien on the property of former National Assembly member and lieutenant general Manvel Grigoryan, as well as on the property belonging to his wife and children, in response to a request from the prosecutor's office. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by the prosecutor's press service.

The lien has been imposed as a precautionary measure for a lawsuit regarding the confiscation of illegally obtained property. Persons connected to Manvel Grigoryan, including his wife, sons, and daughters, have been summoned to the prosecutor's office to familiarize themselves with the materials of the case and to present their stance.

According to the prosecutor's office, the property belonging to them by inheritance is subject to confiscation. The Office of the Prosecutor General clarified that the circumstances of death do not exclude the confiscation of property with illegal origins.

It is noteworthy that Manvel Grigoryan passed away on November 19, 2020.
