Major Car Accident Due to Black Ice: Notable Lawyer Hospitalized

The investigation into a car accident that occurred due to black ice in the Ararat region on January 14 is being carried out by Senior Investigator Hayk Vardanyan from the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Police Department, according to shamshyan.com.

On that day, around 12:00 PM, 40-year-old Karen Apoyan from Yerevan lost control of his Mitsubishi on the 26th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra highway, causing the vehicle to veer off the roadway and overturn due to the black ice on the bridge.

As a result of the accident, passenger Tsovinar Karapetyan, also a Yerevan resident, was transported to the “Ashtarak” Medical Center for medical assistance. According to the website, the injured Tsovinar Karapetyan is a well-known lawyer from the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.
