Explosion at Gas Station in Central Germany Leaves Casualties

Two people have died as a result of a fire that broke out at a gas station in the town of Hamersbach, located in the federal state of Hesse, Germany. This information was reported on Monday by the DPA agency, citing a representative from the local police.

According to the information, a fire erupted in the area of the gas station on the A45 highway near Hamersbach. Eyewitnesses reported that an explosion occurred at the gas station around noon. As a result of the incident, two people lost their lives. Later, as noted by a law enforcement representative, the fire was extinguished. The explosion also damaged a nearby restaurant building.

The cause of the incident is still unknown. Preliminary data suggests that two vehicles were involved in the incident. One of the deceased was found in one of the vehicles, while the other was discovered in close proximity. Criminal police officers are currently working at the scene.
