VIDEO: New Footage Emerges of Volcanic Eruption in Tonga Islands
New footage has emerged showing the onset of the volcanic eruption in the Tonga Islands. As a result of the eruption, large waves have been triggered along the coast, leading to the evacuation of over a hundred families from villages on the southern side of Savaii, Samoa. Authorities have issued warnings regarding the threat of a tsunami.
A tsunami warning has also been declared for American Samoa.
