Police Manage to Save Boy's Life, He Intended to Jump Off a Bridge

Today, January 16, an emergency incident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At approximately 12:45 PM, the police department in Ashtarak received a report that a citizen was standing on the fencing of a bridge near the Kasakh River, intending to jump.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a police operational group arrived rapidly, led by the head of the Ashtarak police department, Sergey Martirosyan, and the head of the juvenile affairs division, Khachatryan.

Ultimately, the squad commander managed to persuade the individual, and the police were able to bring him back from the dangerous edge. The police escorted the citizen to the Ashtarak police department.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, he is a 21-year-old resident of the Aragatsotn region, A.M., who revealed to the police that he wished to end his life in this manner to join his fallen friends.
