What Has Become More Expensive in Armenia: Complete List

In the consumer market of Armenia, the 12-month inflation rate (December 2021 compared to December 2020) has reached 7.7%, while the increase compared to the previous month is 1.6%. According to data released by the RA Statistical Committee, in December 2021, there was a 12.9% increase in food and non-alcoholic beverages compared to December 2020, and a 3.5% increase compared to November 2021.

In the category of vegetables, a 40.0% increase was recorded in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 16.4% increase compared to November 2021. In the category of fruits, there was a 1.8% increase in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 4.9% increase compared to November 2021.

In the category of bakery and cereal products, there was a 10.2% increase in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 1.6% increase compared to November 2021. For dairy products, cheese, and eggs, the inflation rate was 11.2% in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and 1.6% compared to November 2021.

In the sugar and confectionery category, a 19.8% increase was recorded in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 2.2% increase compared to November 2021. In the meat product category, the increase was 7.5% in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and 0.5% compared to November 2021.

In the fish and seafood category, the increase was 31.4% in December 2021 compared to December 2020, while compared to November 2021, prices remained unchanged. In the category of oils and fats, there was a 14.7% increase in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 0.5% increase compared to November 2021.

In the non-food products market, an 8.0% increase was recorded in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 0.5% increase compared to November 2021. In the services sector, there was a 1.9% increase in prices in December 2021 compared to December 2020, and a 0.4% increase compared to November 2021.
