Rescuers Free Vehicles from Blockage on Sisian-Goris Road

Rescuers have freed 8 vehicles and 16 passengers from a blockage on the Sisian-Goris road, specifically in the section between kilometers 30 and 35. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

“From 11:55 AM to 12:00 PM on January 15, our crisis management center in Syunik received alerts about vehicles being blocked near the Shinhuhair intersection due to black ice and blizzard,” the report states.

A firefighting rescue team from the regional emergency management division was dispatched to the scene. They were able to free the 8 vehicles, which were carrying 16 passengers, from the Sisian-Goris section of the M-2 highway.

Earlier, the police reported that there were blizzard conditions in Syunik, which had led to police vehicles being stuck on the road.
