Crisis in Aragatsotn: Wolves Maul Horses and Dogs

On January 15, SHAMSHYAN.com received numerous phone calls from residents of the village of Aghdzk in the Aragatsotn region, reporting that wolves have become a threat to their livestock.

In just a few days, a pack of wolves has mauled several horses and dogs in the village.

“The latest incident occurred last night when the wolves attacked a dog, and we don’t know what to do. The wolves come into the village freely, and we don’t dare to protect our animals. The only way to defend them is to use guns to shoot at the wolves. But then we would be subjected to criminal liability. We want the Ashtarak police to draw conclusions from this publication and take measures to protect the village from wolf attacks,” the villagers stated.
