This Young Man Did Not Deserve to Be Killed Because of Aliyev’s Egoism: Serj Tankian

World-renowned rock musician Serj Tankian has made another post on his Twitter microblog regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation and the recent incident that led to the death of a conscript soldier. He published a photo of one of the fallen soldiers, Rudik Garibyan, and wrote:

“Azerbaijan’s aggression against Armenia and Armenians is a constant criminal act of war. This young man did not deserve to be killed because of Aliyev’s egoism. He was supposed to complete his service in a month. Today, this 19-year-old Garibyan was killed by Azerbaijani armed forces.”

At the end of his post, Tankian quoted one of Rudik's entries from 2021: “I am going, but I will return, always smiling.”
